Maryland Dove |

The Maryland Dove fund support the maintainance and interpretation of the tall ship, which represents the smaller of the two ships that originally settled the colony of Maryland. The Maryland Dove operates as a shore-side attraction for general visitors to HSMC as well as a working vessel that helps to preserve the maritime heritage of the 17th century. The Maryland Dove also travels within the Chesapeake region to share the story of Maryland's founding. |

Maryland Heritage Interpretive Center |

Architects have begun planning the Maryland Heritage Interpretive Center, which will replace the "blue barn" on Hogaboom Lane. The Center will be located on a highly visible and easily accessible site along Route 5 and will serve as the principal point of welcome, orientation, and entry into the St. Mary’s City National Historic Landmark District, which includes HSMC, SMCM, and portions of the St. Mary’s River watershed.
